We’re in the jungle now, anything can happen here.
Iguazu Falls is the real topic of this post, but don’t worry, there are butterflies involved. The falls are an amazing thing to see. There are actually a series of falls stretching over a mile long, with the most dramatic point, and longest drop being the “Devil’s Throat”. That section is a circular shape and generates so much mist and water spray that you can’t see the bottom, even though they built a walkway over the river right up to the edge. …

We have spent the last 10 days, including our trekking adventure, in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Bariloche for short. Bariloche is on the northern side of Patagonia and is written about as the Switzerland of Argentina.
The first 2 days were spent wandering around the city, taking a tour of the 7 lakes district entirely in Spanish and putting our plans together for the hike, not to mention staying in 3 different hostels. The next 3 days were spent on the trail, as mentioned in our previous …

Since we’re casual fans of several types of beverages, and because it’s been raining for several hours, I thought writing about food and drink would be a good way to pass the time until dinner.

We spent a couple days here before Antarctica and already had time to find the good coffee shops, and visit a few museums, so this week we decided to do a little hiking. Luckily the weather gods supported this plan and gave us a few beautiful, warm, sunny days.
The Martial Glacier was a bit underwhelming after seeing the giant glaciers in Antarctica, but it was nice to …

We made it! On time and everything still in one piece. The only trouble was that we didn’t have the name of the hostel we had reserved. No big deal, but we did put down a deposit. After looking at a small map we took a taxi to an intersection that we thought was close and walked about 6 blocks and found it.
Within 2 hours of our arrival, we were invited to a toga party to celebrate the birthday of one of our roommates. The catch is we had …
