Wonderful pictures and descriptions continue. Many familiar places for us and memories too. When Yak starts to taste good, you know the Chinese menu was less than tasty! Great that you went to Thailand next where everything tastes good. Still remember an elephant with a big smile chasing grandpa up the river bank to give him a “shower”. I’m still living vicariously through you! Looks like you spent a long time in China. Thailand is a very pleasant surprise after China, right? Familiar (and delicious) food, English speakers, 7-11! I know you don’t smoke, but pick up a pack of Thai cigarettes – they have disgusting photos on them to warn you of the dangers of smoking. I think they’re hilarious.
Is India next? I can’t wait to hear about your experience there. You’ve probably been stared at a lot already but nothing prepares you for the stares in India. Especially you, Heather. Get ready blondie!

When I got to the picture of the dog in Thailand the the first thing I thought was that it sort of looked like Lucy, and then I read the caption and saw you guys thought the same. Don’t lose your sunglasses. It would suck to have to go back across all of those continents looking for them.
BTW, hired a guy to fill your position and he already quit. Maybe it will be open when you get back…if you come back. Your photos get me through the day sometimes and I already see about 100 places I would rather call home. Awesome trip!

The Sacred Monkey Forest and the banana’s for sale story brought tears to my eyes it was so fun. I bet you people are also hiding out in that forest just waiting to see people walk buy with bananas to watch the attacks.

Seems like you’re having a great trip and the pictures look very nice. Galapagos is waiting for you, that must be a good feeling!
Luckily we just left Chili in time and are in Bolivia right now. What a terrible situation, the earthquake, there are still many people lost….We fly to Santiago in May, so we’re probably going to see some of it. It’s a strange idea that we were so close, but it is definitely the worst for all those people living there. Hope they manage to help them…
We are heading for Santa Cruz (Bolivia) tomorrow for some jungle adventure and fly to Iguazu afterwards. In March we will spend 2 weeks in Urugauy to help in a project for seeturtle conservation (Karumbe.org)
Everything is thus great and we’re enjoying the time in South America.

I love your website and hearing about your adventures. I have also traveled the world, and have been on all the continents accept Antartica – and I loved your adventure there, and I will get there one day. I noticed that you were going to Peru and Machu Picchu. I was there last summer, and it is one of the highlights of all my travels. However, I hope you are aware of the flooding disaster that occured there last week. Machu Picchu is now closed until April 1. The train for sure is not working, and even though you probably would walk the Inca Trail, that too is shut down. I hope you will be able to change your time of travel, because it would be a shame not to see one of the Wonders of the World. Good Luck and keep enjoying….

i just recieved all your travel information from grandma pete. Just wanted you to know that all of us in Montana will be following your traveling plans on this blog. Hope you have tons of fun in south america i have always wanted to go there. Katie really wants to travel to france. She has a very good chance of going in the summer of 2011 with her french class. Elliott says hi and hopes you have a lot of fun. All of us are good in school. katie is now a sophmore in high school and i am a freshman. Elliott is in 7th grade and is doing well. Mom and dad are staying busy with work. well i guess that is all for now, have fun on all your travels.
