Wonderful pictures and descriptions continue. Many familiar places for us and memories too. When Yak starts to taste good, you know the Chinese menu was less than tasty! Can’t wait to see India through your eyes. Love to both of you.

I’m still living vicariously through you! Looks like you spent a long time in China. Thailand is a very pleasant surprise after China, right? Familiar (and delicious) food, English speakers, 7-11! I know you don’t smoke, but pick up a pack of Thai cigarettes – they have disgusting photos on them to warn you of the dangers of smoking. I think they’re hilarious.
Is India next? I can’t wait to hear about your experience there. You’ve probably been stared at a lot already but nothing prepares you for the stares in India. Especially you, Heather. Get ready blondie!

Hi guys,
Good to hear from you!! And whooow, your website looks amazing, defenitely more professional than ours….
But hey your got the IT guy with you 🙂
Seems like you’re having a great trip and the pictures look very nice. Galapagos is waiting for you, that must be a good feeling!
Luckily we just left Chili in time and are in Bolivia right now. What a terrible situation, the earthquake, there are still many people lost….We fly to Santiago in May, so we’re probably going to see some of it. It’s a strange idea that we were so close, but it is definitely the worst for all those people living there. Hope they manage to help them…
We are heading for Santa Cruz (Bolivia) tomorrow for some jungle adventure and fly to Iguazu afterwards. In March we will spend 2 weeks in Urugauy to help in a project for seeturtle conservation (Karumbe.org)
Everything is thus great and we’re enjoying the time in South America.
Have a fantastic trip to the Galapagos!
W’ll keep in touch.
Ciao, Thijs and Sylvia

Hi Mike and Heather,
I love your website and hearing about your adventures. I have also traveled the world, and have been on all the continents accept Antartica – and I loved your adventure there, and I will get there one day. I noticed that you were going to Peru and Machu Picchu. I was there last summer, and it is one of the highlights of all my travels. However, I hope you are aware of the flooding disaster that occured there last week. Machu Picchu is now closed until April 1. The train for sure is not working, and even though you probably would walk the Inca Trail, that too is shut down. I hope you will be able to change your time of travel, because it would be a shame not to see one of the Wonders of the World. Good Luck and keep enjoying….

I just wanted to say I LOVE your website! It is so fun to see what you guys are up to on your travels!! Stay safe and keep posting!!
Hi guys! I was just going to say that perhaps you can have a little side business selling prints of your pictures when you get back — Lori and I are on the same page. Looking forward to seeing you next week and hearing about Galapagos.
I just looked at your Peru pictures…the scenery is breath-taking. Someone could have a career as a photographer!! It is good to see your smiling faces…. MWAH
Hi Heather. We miss you. I am glad you have a great time traveling….
HL
Hi guys,
Good to hear from you!!
Hi Heather,
Looks like you have lots of fun! Love all of your pictures.. Have a safe trip!

Hey Wiktor’s-
It’s been so much fun to ‘travel along’ with you. The trek through the Andes sounded pretty amazing, and for saying you couldn’t capture the beauty of the Fall they sure seemed pretty darn beautiful to me. I can only imagine what they would have been like in person.
Hope you are both doing well! Let us know when you are flying through MN. We would love to see you.
Dear Heather & Mike~
Thank you for taking us along on your trip! Our first graders at Center School are studying penguins, so they were just thrilled to see your pictures! I put them up on a big screen, and the kids were in awe that you were right in the middle of all those penguins in Antarctica!!!
Great pictures Mike and Heather!! The butterfly’s are wonderful. Keep up the good work! We miss you but know your having a great time!!
Hey ya Heather – Niamh Garland from Ireland here. Your Mum sent on your fabulous website for me to have a nose about. Looks like you guys are really livin’ it up. I am jealous when I see the photos you’ve taken . Fair play to you both . Enjoy the rest of the trip. Love Niamh XX

“the southernmost city in the world; not to be confused with Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in the world” ….. hmmmm, could that be wikipediaing on the eeeeeeepc? I wonder. Have fun in Arhentina. We miss you guys!
Wow those pictures are gorgeous! The one with the penguin & its babies looks like it’s right out of National Geographic. I can’t wait to see the pictures when you visit the Galapagos Islands.
What? Who stamped your passport in Antarctica??

Hey Wiktors!
Unlike Dao, I think the truck fiasco was merely a typical “day in the life” of Mike (Heather excluded on purpose…I just don’t see her getting into that kid of situation). I think it’ll be smooth sailing the whole trip and you’ll forget all about it.
I’ll be following your blog closely. Safe travels and I’m so looking forward to hosting you in my glamorous Albanian villa!
Love,
Lesley

Mom and dad are staying busy with work. well i guess that is all for now, have fun on all your travels.
Jenna
Mike, after reading you post about the truck, I’m feeling nervous about you and Healther travelling around the world for the full 10 months! (More so than before!) It’s good to have plan A, plan B, and plan C on almost everything. AND don’t be so trusting when you’re oversea! May you have lots of luck on the way! I’m sure you two will have lots of fun, just be careful.
Hmm, pretty sure Joel couldn’t have caused this.
Love the site, and can’t wait to live vicariously through the both of you. Happy Holidays and hope to see on one of your stops in MN.
ps – the photos of the guard tower made me think of the 2hr conversation we had about ‘fire watch’… I still want those 2hrs of my life back Wiktor!
Mike:
You left some training certificates on your desk. I’m sure you want to frame the DMDC 01 ATFP Level I Refresher Training and Combating Trafficking in Persons Awareness Training.
Should we FedEx them to you or email ASCII art representations?
